As a senior student in Accountancy at Community College of City University, I am certain about my future career as an accountant and hope to have qualifications with CFA and CPA. Since I was a child, I was affected by my elder female cousin and got inspiration from her, because she is a successful accountant with high expectation, therefore, I want to be the one like her that is why I want to apply for the degree of BBA-Accountancy programme in your University

 

For further approaching my dream, in my high school and associate degree, I chose Business Accountancy and Financial Study to be my major subject. When teacher introduced the responsibility about a great accountant, my interest in Accountancy was kindled, I was fascinated by the challenges that as an accountant will face, such as analyzing the business for predicting future trend and helping to manage the cost of goods. Therefore, I complied the sounds from my heart and determined to insist of the Accountancy to become my major subject to persist studying in associate degree in these years. Furthermore, I studied many subjects that could strengthen my expertise in Accountancy field, such as Economics, Management and Statistics, these subjects support me with a logical thinking and applying my accountancy knowledge in my real life

 

Except for the study at university, I also expanded my study at the outside, therefore, I went to participate in a competition with my peers, and tried to apply what I learnt before that is called Accounting and Business Management Case Competition which is hold by HKIAAT. During the competition, my responsibility was conducting the financial analysis and helping to predict the financial situation for the next three years, I tried to understand the financial reports from the company and analyzed data by using the Accountancy ratio. Finally, I concluded a comprehensive information and contributed to the company. Through this competition, I gained a lot of experience and discovered new insights into the depth of Accountancy field.

 

Besides, I know ‘all work no play makes Jack a dull boy’, therefore I chose basketball to rest during my leisure time and became a basketball school team member in my high school. The reason why I decided basketball is that I reckoned I can learn more about teamwork spirit and help me to manage my mentality when I facing the problem in the later cases
